i have already discussed about the newborns. delivering a normal newborns is now important high risk newborns are with the weight less than2 kg and having some congential anomalies. at present most of these problems were due to stress in the parents. both parents will be working in seperate places and there is no leisure time to meet, which will produce all problems related with conception,normal delivery and normal tranistion from the birth.

now there quite high incidence of low birth weight babies in developing world. stress after delivery and spending money in intensive care unit and morbitity like mental retardation, seizure, visual loss is extemely high. this can be prevented by health education and reducing the work stress.

fits in a young baby due to high fever. most commonly it occurs due to high fever and between the age group of 6 month to 5 years. for this type children to prevent fits we have to do tepid sponging after that we have to give antipyretics. if this sezures recurs then we have to get pediatric neurologist opinion

the first 28 days of life is called newborns. immunising every new born is must. exclusive breast feeding for six month is essential

weaning has to be started after six month of life. avoid artificial food during first year of life, it will prevent most of the diseases due to infection

keep the baby warm and always keep the baby with the mother
